The Nike+ Run Club (NRC) JHB programme consist of the following key elements:

  • Ready Set Go Run
  • Speed Run
  • Long Run
  • Local Run
  • Home Run
  • NTC Sessions

Ready Set Go Run

The purpose of these sessions is to initiate you as a first-timer into the philosophy of NRC.

Speed Run

The purpose of these sessions is to build strength and speed in every athlete. In addition, the sessions improve the athletes’ work effort and recovery rate.

The sessions include track intervals, longer intervals, tempo runs and fartleks.

Long Run

The purpose of these sessions is to improve the athletes’ endurance and running intelligence, particularly in terms of pacing and running tactics.

Local Run

The purpose of these sessions is to explore and experience the city and have a fun, social run.

Home Run

The purpose of these sessions is to recover from speed or long run sessions and general life hectic schedules. In addition, these runs are used as a platform for members to invite as many of their friends as possible so we can have an epic community run.

NTC Sessions

The purpose of these sessions is to help runners improve through high intensity total body training.

Weekly Schedule 

NRC currently has 2 sessions per week, on a Tuesday and Thursday. NTC takes place on Saturday mornings.
